From the first time we visited Cancun, it has always been great. The funny things is whenever we are telling people we are going there, people either think we are crazy party animals or we are putting ourselves in danger because of what the news usually report about Mexico. However, the truth is: NO, you don’t have to go during spring break and get drunk every night like those fun-loving kids, and NO, it is very safe to travel in Cancun as long as you are not too adventurous to roaming around some unknown town where’s no sight of any English writings at all ( think about the scenes we see in a typical vacation gone wrong type of horror movies). These are some of the places we visited, and highly recommend for you to check them out also:
Tulum, a Pre-Columbia Maya ruin that used to be a major port for Coba.
Xel-Ha Park, an all-inclusive water park that has saltwater lazy river, restaurants, and other water activities.
Valladolid, a small town that is on the way to Chichen Itza.
Chichen Itza, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Isla Mujeres, the Island of Women. A short ferry ride from three ports ( Puerto Juarez, Grand Puerto, Punta Sam).
